I think both FB and MBB will surprise in the G MAC. Something is going on with WBB. I am not sure what but it seems like some are transferring/leaving this year.

FB and MBB may be .500 teams.

FB has more upside only because we've not seen the product yet.

Maybe in 3 or 4 years MBB won't lose more than 10 games in a season...wouldn't bet on it though unless we start scheduling Salem and Oakland City twice a year.

MBB exhibition at WKU Dec 17 and WBB on Oct 31.

WBB had some end of season/post-season drama started publicly by a player who was unlikely to return due to personal issues. Other players got involved which caused disciplinary issues which caused transfers. It is really sad on many levels for all involved - coaches and players.

Does anyone think the MBB schedule is being withheld until football season officially starts, so as to not "steal their thunder" ??

I do and still trying to get some negotiations finished.

Someone please help me understand. We added a 7'2' D1 recruit, a 6'11" D1 recruit that averaged a double double in high school, a 6'4" D1 recruit that averaged 20+ points a game in high school, a 6'1" walk on, for two years, at a high level major basketball school who also averaged 20+ points per game in high school, a 6'5/6" player who dominated in high school so much he was named MVP and defense player of the year for his area. Several players that now have a taste of D2 basketball and should be better. Yet we will not be better than last year??? What am I missing??

I forgot we also added a 6'7" that also averaged a double double in high school.

Did I say they were .385 team? No, around a .500 team, so I think they will do better. We lost a 6'8' D1 recruit. Lots of kids average double digits in HS so that doesn't move me. WV kid maybe but the Lithuanian kid had trouble meshing. Basically new team again, who aren't used to playing with each other. Also last's team was no better in March than in November so I'm not sure that "taste" meant much. Also I would point out that the last Happy/only Mays team had lots of D1 recruits but finished with losing record. (In fairness I blame coaching not kids). Currie and Smith have been away from basketball too long to expect too much from them.
