  • From the KWC release:

"The Screaming Eagles will open their new arena on November 18th against the Panthers. Neither team has played on each other's home arena since November 17th, 2013, a 70-61 win by USI at the Sportscenter. The two teams are starting a four-year agreement that will feature a visits from Southern Indiana in 2020 and 2022 seasons. USI finished with a 26-9 record while marching all the way to the NCAA Final Four last season."

    • Funny, I had just checked for their schedule about an hour ago and it wasn't up.
And right on cue, USI releases theirs at the same time.

        • Glad to finally see a schedule. Still missing the exhibition games though as the WKU game isnt on the roster and I'm assuming they will play an exhibition against a larger D1 in maybe Louisville or Xavier.

          • Not so sure about exhibition games. No WKU, Louisville, Xavier, Evansville for sure.

            • WKU has us on their schedule Dec 17 as an Exh already. I agree we most likely will have a UL or Xavier game early on as well, though maybe we will end up playing someone else.

              • Sorry I missed it on WKU schedule. I would like to see one more and get kids some bright lights and KWC some money. I guess Wright will be added to WKU roster later.

                • More Mo I just got word that Mo is on campus ready to have a strong year. I heard everyone they wanted is back. No sure that is the case but most from last year are on campus.

                      • I just found the site. So, what are the expectations this year? How does Wesleyan stack up? What will happen if they only win around 12 to 15 games? How many games will Wesleyan win? I can tell you how many they need to win. They need to win twenty, and compete for an NCAA bid. That is not pressing any hard buttons either. That is the least this program has been able to do in a lot of years in the past. "Oh, but it is the past, you say." That is correct, but the tradition is also there. And, tradition means nothing if you can't live up to it.

                        • My expectation is that they are significantly improved, but nowhere near an elite team.....maybe 4th in the conference.

                            • I'm not sure I'd say they "need" to win 20 this year. It would be nice - and with our schedule it's certainly not impossible, but mainly I just want to see solid improvement. 15-18 wins would be OK for this year. If we CAN land in the top 4 of the conference that will put us hosting a 1st round conference tourney game, which would be a nice goal to shoot for.

                              • I believe much of this year's record will depend on coaching. If Coop can figure out early how to rotate his players. We lost several game in the second half. He needs to use his player so they know their roles and use the ones that will take advantage of other teams weakness. I believe other G-MAC teams will have a player or two better than anyone we have but I also think we will have 4 players better than their 4 off of the bench. Sometimes one of our bigs sometimes one of our shooters. We have both this year. They have to get minutes and not be pulled if a shoot does not go in.
