Kle is just jacking with you. Like I said previously, in a 28 team playoff seeded nationally, many SR1 teams would still make it.

The first two rounds would be pretty boring, but it might help in the later rounds.
You mean 13 week of MIAA games would be torture? You’d get your own region!!

Still save money on the first couple rounds on flights, and then get to reseed and reshape it to make sure the best teams have better opportunities to advance.
I still think regardless of perception of strength, if Shepherd or IUP is 11-0 and GV or Northwest are 9-2 and happen to meet in the quarterfinals, GV/NW should be traveling to SR1 to get that game in. I know history tells us that they will win 9/10 times or so, but you can't just tell the world their teams don't matter and these 4/5 teams get the benefit of the doubt every year on past success.

Region 1 - Pee Sack and NE 10.
Region 2 - GMAC and MEC
Region 3- CIAA and SAC
Region 4 - GSC and SIAC
Region 5 - GAC and LSC
Region 6 - GLIAC and GLVC
Region 7 - NSIC and RMAC
..and Region 8 can just be the MIAA Where after an 11 game SILO schedule they can have their own circle jerk to their greatness and have their top 4 teams in regional playoff to themselves and watch Northwest win that every year too.
Then you rank all 8 winners where the power teams will get the top dpots and get to host and then you get your final four wishes and then you all will ***** on here in a dick wagging contest that your team should have been the host for the Semi Finals
I should run not only the Pee Sack but the entire level.

The money talks. It’s most likely why the regional format was created and they aren’t going to waiver.

(1) How do you determine the best teams when your conference plays a conference only schedule?
(2) Your Bearcats have never played in Pennsylvania. How good would they be so far from hime? We’ll never know.
(3) The only way you way works is everyone playing multiple farOOC games each season meaning your Bearcats would need to show their faces in Pennsylvania from time to time.
(1) That is absolutely an issue that should be addressed. I think every conference should have a representative, but I also think that if a conference plays an insular schedule, only one team from that conference should make it.
(2) Almost every view I express on here is from the perspective of being what is good for D2 overall.
Northwest has played these games far from home (flight):
1996 @ Northern Colorado L
1999 @ Northern Colorado W
2005 @ North Alabama W
2007 @ Chadron State W
2008 @ Abilene Christian W
2009 @ Central Washington W
2010 @ Texas A&M-Kingsville W
2010 @ Minnesota-Duluth L
2011 @ Midwestern State W
2014 @ Minnesota Duluth
2017 @ Ashland L
2018 @ Grand Valley W
2018 @ Ferris State L
2019 @ Ferris State L
2021 @ Ferris State L
2022 @ Grand Valley L
(3) It works as long as out of conference games are played. It's time for everyone to stop pretending that each year is a new year and anything can happen.

IUP went into the 1991 playoffs as the top ranked team in the country. When it came to the Semis we got forced in the road to Jacksonville State because they could guarantee more money and we lost by 7 because home field was critical. What a travesty. It didn’t matter how good you were, it was the money. It’s still the money. I don’t know how you fix it.

Hardly a blowout and we barely made the playoffs that year..we were the lowest seed with three losses to D1AA Youngstown State (another close game) , a blowout loss to Slimey and Millersville. Did so with a freshman QB too put into service after the two
ayers in front of him got hurt . Paid back Slimey and Millersville in the playoffs and got sent to Marysville.
The last time GV made a Seni Final they lost to a team in Region 1 who is now in the Pee Sack. Opps.
It's also important to contextualize that they were the #4 seed as the last seed versus today's #7 seed being the last seed.
