Blaming Franklin here is a massive reach to push a narrative.

If PSU just sits on the ball and then loses in OT, then Franklin is gutless for not even trying to win it in regulation according to those who simply want to crush him. Anyone blaming him was simply waiting all playoff for PSU to lose so they could pin it on him regardless of how the game actually played out.
I grew up with Penn State and then I was losing interest but the team this year got me back as a fan.

Not to mention they lost to a Notre Dame team ravaged by injuries and illness.
There's a lot of excuses coming out of State College but that team should have beat ND by 10 points.
PSU had the stars aligned. They had two easy games prior. They without question had a superior roster Thursday night.
Yet ...
James can't beat elite teams. It's the same movie over and over. The ending is always the same. Does he get too nervous and conservative? Maybe. Something changes.
Going 1-18 vs Top 5 teams isn't a coincidence.
I think he had a team to win the whole thing this year.
He reminds me of Tort. They just find a way to lose when the lights are the brightest.

Just saying we'll have this same discussion when he loses to Ohio State in October.

All of the excuses and finger-point don't matter. Penn State lost, fair and square. Somebody wins, somebody loses.

Scan the PSU threads. They make IUP's board seem G-Rated.
