IUP laughably only 4th for the fall standing despite claiming the biggest sport. IUP men had the best average..the ladies not holding up their end of the bargain.

IUP in possession of the two biggest chips the Pee Sack awards and we are now SEVENTH.

Then don't acknowledge it. Y'all are all about the money-makers; other schools are about balance across the board.

Believe it or not, there are more sports offered than football and men's basketball.

SEC teams like to go for the big sports. I recently learned that Shippensburg offers as many men's and women's sports as Auburn.

Then don’t present it as an award for the best sports program. It’s a participation trophy. Period.

Football and Basketball take a lot more resources to get on the field but as long as you clean up the easy sports to field you get a trophy and the right to brag that you do the best job. What a JOKE. This conference celebrates mediocrity.

If the other sports are so easy, field teams that can win them. Or keep participating in an endless Interweb argument that isn't winning converts.

You won’t agree agree because your school has gamed the system by winning various track titles with the same athletes to win the trophy. Yet your foosball program hasn’t won squat but you get to hold it over our heads despite only ever beating us once in four decades.

The Dixon Trophy is a mediocre trophy that awards mediocrity. It costs 7 figures to field foosball. It Pennies to field a track team.

Every school above IUP except West Chester has less conference titles so far but gets rewarded. First place Gannon has one.

BTW you are on a site that was started for foosball and got expanded for basketball. The two most important sports. Who is the champion of both in the Pee Sack?

                    IUP!

It's an all-sports trophy. Your school is as free to "game" the system by becoming better in more than two sports. If it costs "pennies' to field a track team, what's stopping you?

And good lord, what's with this "foosball" stuff?

As far as holding the Dixon Trophy above someone's head, I don't ever recall coming on this site crowing about the Dixon Trophy. You're the one who seems to get worked up about it.

IUP doesn't do well in the Dixon Trophy because they don't value having a balanced athletics department. They spend nearly twice as much on men's basketball scholarships than they do on baseball, golf, swimming, and track combined.

Because it was set up to make sure IUP never wins it. Counting Foosball and basketball the same as track is mind boggling.

Then fact that track get FOUR categories is a joke. It’s rigged so schools that suck at foosball win this participation trophy.

Balanced athletics = lousy foosball program.

Not true. In D2, the top ten in the Leerfield Directors Cup (national version of Dixon Trophy) about half have great football programs:
                              1. Colorado Mines
                              2. Wingate
                              3. Grand Valley State
                              4. West Texas A&M
                              5. West Florida
                              6. Charleston
                              7. Ferris State
                              8. CSU Pueblo
                              9. Franklin Pierce
                              10. Colorado Colorado Springs

In D3, Mount Union just lost in the national basketball championship.
