AD has given the school a long list of demands to return to Northwest Missouri. Boosters want him back. If all comes together he will return to Maryville and Wright goes back to DC is what I have been told.

Is this wishful thinking? I mean, I’ve pitched a similar idea except for the idea that RW would drop back to DC and into a “co-coaching” arrangement with AD, but is this from someone in the administration or athletics or the boosters telling you this?

I don't know the ins and outs of the Devil State's retirement system, other than you can't claim SS as well. I just knew he had to be close.

You can claim SS at normal eligibility age.

This is the #1 scenario of very few that would spark my interest in resuming season ticket holder status and the repetitive 2-hr trips on the regular.

It’s much likelier these guys are blowing smoke than AD goes back, infinitely more likely than he comes back AND RW stays on as DC.

I have a hard time with it too. The pull of Maryville being home has some merit and of course a big wad of cash would be enticing, but he really can’t do anything but tarnish his legacy here. What he’s done in a short time at UCO tells you there isn’t anything he can’t do there that he can do here… I don’t get it either. #moneytalks

Agreed….but a guy can dream 😎. more of a chance RW goes to UCO and they go D1, than the both come back to NW as Co-head coaches.

I think there is a better chance if AD comes back that Chad Bostwick is retained as DC.

I gotta say ... this whole frickin' waiting game isn't working out. Can't wait for this season to get over with. I'm on edge awaiting the breaking news about who's going to make what I already know will be a tough, maybe a bit of a heart-breaking decision for a certain football coach to step away from the football program they are currently with and taking over this Bearcat program. Still stand by its down to three guys. Thought one was pretty evident because I was certain the other two were going to stay. Left one. Now, it looks like there might be two. Surprising. Lets get on with these NCAA DII Playoffs and wrap up the N/C game down there in Texas. Bearcat Nation is waiting.
