The North Star is certainly a level below the NSIC. But they beat Minot convincingly. I think they'll be roughly a .500 team off the bat in the NSIC, which in this league is certainly respectable.

Also I looked it up and Brandon University is a public school in Manitoba - hence why we've never heard of them.
Massey has Jamestown listed in their rankings. Volleyball is 7th in nsic
Will they have men’s volleyball and men’s soccer next year?

Mankato is an interesting example—it's not athletics-related. Additionally, there’s a group focused on Title IX for high schools and colleges, which you can explore here: https://www.championwomen.org/resources

The tricky part is, just because a school has an ACHA program doesn't mean it's club. I believe Minot is varsity, if I remember correctly. I don't remember what the rules were with SMSU and the ACHA.

Most club teams are self funded, especially at the ACHA D-II and D-III level. But, some of the schools at the ACHA D-I level do fund their club teams some. Usually it is through student fees and not Federal Funding.Millsy
