Actually, I just thought of something....are Arizona/Florida games counted toward "home" attendance for anyone?
I’d have to believe those are neutral site games, and count in that attendance bucket.

Then it is volleyball and women's hoops. basically the same as D1 on a smaller scale.

the other sports are great but they are "non revenue". Most all area t D2 even football but you get my point.

and If you have a good football team it sets the tone for everything on campus. That is a fact. there is some buzz. If you have a bad team it is a downer. also a fact
Agree with this, except women’s hoops is far ahead of volleyball.

Not sure - I'm guessing they do though.

I wonder how attendance is estimated at those things. There was a ticket table at the Birdcage when I saw USF play early in the year, but they'd abandoned post so I just walked in. Saw SMSU back in May and didn't see a ticket situation anywhere.

        • Jamestown men's basketball has 7 games scheduled against the NSIC. The women's team only has 1.

Both teams also face NDSU and I've been told the talent level of the Summit League is no different than the level of talent in the NSIC.

Depends on who you ask. If you ask me - Summit League basketball is pretty tough to watch (hence why I stopped almost as soon as I started). If you ask several people around here, they might as well be east coast blue bloods.

Then Jamestown should win easily. I’ve been told, several times, that they are a perfect addition to the NSIC.

                    • As I suspected would happen...NCCAA post-season
The University of Jamestown will compete in NCAA Division II in 2025-26. With there being no NCAA postseason possibilities in 2025-26 due to our final provisional year, we anticipate playing in the NCCAA for the postseason while we explore conference options for the future of Jimmie men's soccer.

They have winnable games next year plus the OOC games.

I thought for sure that their soccer program would be on the chopping block after this year given their haphazard coaching situation and lack of reasonable conference accommodations in D2, but I guess they're committed to keeping it around through their transition. We'll see how long that lasts, but for now at least, I'm honestly surprised

In my opinion, they can't afford to lose all the students. I don't think the move to D2 was well thought out.
