There was a brief stretch where the CHA tried holding their conference tournament in USHL cities. The Des Moines Bucs had it one year and the Tri City Storm two years. The first year the Storm hosted it, us fans drank the arena out of beer on Friday. They had to get an emergency shipment from their distributor for the Saturday and Sunday games. It was 80 degrees that weekend, the beer was really cold and it was cheap!

Familiarize yourself with our Trojan friends, they will be next! The N in NSIC stands for NAIA!

I am absolutely not excited about the addition but I also am not angry or frustrated by this new school.
I really do feel, deep down, that Winona could bounce, as could Wayne. Obviously, there is no info on that. Just being rational (especially in Wayne's case) I could see and totally understand why they would. Most of the talent comes from the South or East and so expanding your recruiting towards those areas by way of playing more games towards where those kids are from makes sense, atleast to me.
People laughed about St. Cloud going D1 (not that I truly believe that will ever happen) but without football and if they were offering sports the Summit needed more of, it would maybe make sense for both parties. Its funny that i believe the NSIC has more D1 hockey programs than the Summitt schools, but maybe that is something in the future for the Summit as well? Idk
Really just throwing a lot out there but the movement isnt done, and it will never be done.
For all i know we may have a conference of Minot, Mary, Jamestown, Moorhead, Crookston, Bemidji, Southwest, Northern, USF and maybe Dickinson or Dakota State. Who knows, just enjoy what we got while we got it.

St. Cloud would but will not. Mankato is the only option, and our administration is too weak to give it a try.
I believe Wayne is gone as well. As I believe they should.
