Cleary accidentally came across the Liggins kid. I can only imagine if Cleary actually coached that team up last year what they would've been. Run and gun just doesn't work against sound defensive teams.

One roster left to appear. What a shocker.

'Rehabilitated' is the phrase they prefer at SRU. Their schedule is also apparently top secret, too.

It looks like Micah Till is the only remaining player on the SRU roster from last season. Vinny Lasley is back (he played there two years ago).

Lot of hired guns from all over the place. Aaron McDonald did not return. There are some big boys on that roster.

I'm not looking at the big boys....

SRU gets John Warren, transfer from Augustana University (D2) in SD.... Didn't see him on 17-18 roster for Augustana, but was on 16-17 roster as a sophomore...and now he's a senior...Hmmm...And sru bio says he played 3 years..

I like Amante Britt-a good get from Woodland Hills...Finally a Freshman who will be there for more than 1 year, presumably..He was really good in HS.

The 6'11" center is at his 4th school in 4 years...

I think the 6'11" center at SRU has just been undecided on a major at the previous three schools and finally found the major he was looking for at SRU.

From the Central Portion of the board...

Poster, Augieholic, says this about SRU's two Augustana Transfers...

"John Warren is one of the best wing defenders in all of Division 2, he can absolutely swallow people alive when hes locked in and his wingspan creates steals for himself and those around him. Offensively he has a dreamy shot that can take over a game and the ability to rise up and finish like few in the NSIC as USF's Drew Geubert learned during his baptism at the hoop last winter. Having given you the hard sell on my John Warren Island holdings I'm obligated to disclose that consistency is a concern. Game to game and posession to possession you never quite knew what John would show up.

Augie may not have won the National Title without his steal to seal the Regional Championship and I'll truly miss watching him be an alpha on this year's Augie team.

Former Viking Nolen Gerald is joining John at The Rock, hes a solid athlete who is capable of producing jumpshots that can harm anyone in the vicinity of the hoop."

We'll learn about this Rock team quickly ... it opens with Notre Dame and Fairmont State (FSU Tournament).

That said Rock teams typically don't get good until mid-January.

Those two transfers along with Micah Till could be scary -- along with those two bigs.

If by "those two transfers" you mean the two transfers from Augustana, the second transfer mentioned will not likely be scary. Reread Augieholic's (accurate) comment about him.

They run about 90% of everything through Micah Till. They just need decent role players around him to have a good year. When we discuss Slippery Rock we're talking about 'PSAC good' ... not 'nationally' good.

This is a typical Kevin Reynolds team. Look like a lot of talent but can it come together? These guys are all transfers for a reason. We'll soon see how it comes together.

The PSAC West preseason first team is usually simple to pick. Not so much this year.

                                The three obvious picks:

                                F - Cobo Diaz, IUP
F - Micah Till, Slippery Rock
                                G - Anthony Coleman, Edinboro

There are a lot of flashy imports on rosters but none of them -- historically -- will be given any preseason accolades. I'd propose Malik Miller (IUP) and Drew Magestro (UPJ). That said, I could see the final two being Dante Lombardi (IUP) and Trevor Blondin (Seton Hill).
