Twenty five days is a long time to be off, especially when your opponent played 11 or 12 days ago. Thankfully for Texas Tech their defense is still in peak form.

The No. 1 seeds will be blaming the G5's for forcing them to have too much time off. LOL. I can hear it already.Originally posted by Chuck Norris View PostTwenty five days is a long time to be off, especially when your opponent played 11 or 12 days ago. It was one night but Miami looked like the team full of 5-stars, not the Columbus squad.
The rare borderline monsoon has soaked Pasadena. That should help Roll Damn Tide.

I'm with Saban that they've gotta keep the playoffs chugging, NFL be damned. There's no reason they can't be done by New Year's Day.Originally posted by Chuck Norris View PostTwenty five days is a long time to be off, especially when your opponent played 11 or 12 days ago. The whole schedule would have to be altered.Originally posted by Fightingscot82 View Post

Personally...there should only be 11 games for the regular season. They can require all conferences to play 9 games leaving 2 OOC games.
Week 12 is Conference Title Weekend and theoretically the first week of the playoffs.
Army/Navy would need to be forced to be played during the regular season weeks and not in December.
They could get the playoffs done by the New Year.

Yeah, I like aggressiveness, but even he admitted he left some points off the board in the first half. And going for that fourth down near midfield in the second half when he was up 13 was downright dumb. Lanning's defense bailed him out a couple of times today, but that type of thing might cost him in the future. Meanwhile the first-round bye teams are now 0-6 in the 12-team era. That doesn't bode well for Cignetti, but we'll see how that goes.Originally posted by iupgroundhog View Post"I like this call", they say. No, the Ducks need to be taking the points in these situations.

I'm waiting for the NFL and major college football to go year-round.
Obviously it won't go 'that' far but just remember ... the longer it lasts ... the more $$$ keeps flowing in.
Side note it is odd to see Pasadena with a cloudy, dark sky.

I live in SoCal and this is normally our rainy season. But for some unknown reason New Year's Day is usually dry. That one day gets spared...usually.Originally posted by IUPbigINDIANS View Post

I like what D2 does: with week 0 you now have 12 weeks to play 11 games. Playoff eligibility should be 10 games against FBS schools.Originally posted by IUPNation View Post

The byes are killing some of these teams.

Curt in full control against his former employer so far. He has never been flashy and there were times when he was here that I thought the offense was too conservative. That’s why he’s there and I’m watching him on the big stage from my chair. His strategy is to avoid mistakes and negative plays and he relies on efficiency to win the day. They’ve talked about that a bunch on the broadcast. They’re slowly but surely squeezing the life out of the Tide.
