    • It appears that Ship's Redd Douglas has transferred to Findlay. This is a huge loss. Ship's prior OC is the OC at Findlay. Picture of Redd in Findlay jersey on Twitter.

        • For those who maybe aren’t following…Slippery Rock has completely swept up the portal. They’ve made numerous significant additions to both sides of the ball. Proven guys. Pretty impressive.

          • Ship's Evan Flaco has transferred to Lock Haven. He is one of many QBs used by Ship over the past 2 seasons.

            • Edinboro WR's Armani Bailey and Mike Watkins both transfer to Gannon.

PK Richie Pekmezian transfers to So Conn State

              • Shepherd got a Long Snapper from St. Frances via the transfer portal. Probably going to make them the favorites in the East now.

Nothing sexier than the long snapper transfer.

A horrible loss, but you could see it coming a mile away after last season. Unless Mac can pull off a heck of a recruiting haul this year, Ship is in bad shape. So far it's been a textbook example of how the transfer portal can kick you when you're down.

I wish him luck. I didn't think he was a bad player, but it looked as if he were third or fourth guy out in the QB room. It might actually help Ship in a way if it reduces the indecision in the QB room.

                      • Recruiting is wild right now. Just saw that a WPIAL kid has three offers:

                        Washington & Jefferson
                        Edinboro
                        Youngstown State

Wouldn't surprise me if a MAC school offers him.

                          The irony.

It just goes to show you even the most self righteous blowhard programs will do what they once deemed as evil…

Those guys are still recruiting their asses off. Not as brash online as they were at this time last year, but they're everywhere. WPIAL, Buffalo, Cleveland, Philly, DMV, etc.

Programs evolve... especially when the coach that prescribed previously to that ideology hasn't been there in over a decade. If you aren't looking at transfers as a major part of your recruiting portfolio now, you won't be successful. Every program who is looking to win the conference/region and compete nationally is doing this or attempting to do it.
