I wouldn't mind Augsburg or Hamline either since they are in the cities. Ideally, I'd like the conference to start shying away from small towns, but there's just not enough great candidates to fulfill that dream.

But ideally (though I don't want to lose them) Winona, CSP, Duluth or Wayne leaving would fix it all. 14 for hoops, 12 for football. Go five in Division football games and three cross Division and two OOC games. More OOC basketball. Chefs kiss

My question from post # 53 was a question to the lurkers, you not being included in that since you had previously stated your reasons as faulted as I believe them to be. It was a broad invitation to those who have voted yes to add Jamestown, but have not put forth their reasonings to do so.

But not surprisingly, schools that made/make efforts to be competitive remain so. The Mary/SD Mines commitment after years meh isn't the standard for call-ups.
I don’t know what exact comparison you’re driving with lumping us in with Mary on the transitional commitment. It’s a night and day difference in Rapid. I will admit that basketball hasn’t been great especially on the girls side since Felderman was forced out by an idiot AD, but the football programs are worlds apart. SD Mines now is a completely different program from the NAIA/transition days which was the last time we played y’all back in 2011 I believe. Historically, aside from a couple years in the 80s and an outlier in 2010, we were an awful program. Since pretty much my sophomore year back in 2016, we’ve been a competent competitive program which is miles ahead of where we were and far better than Mary. We’ve never had perennial cellar dweller status as a D2. I think with both Colorado Mines poaching engineers and other schools not having academic requirements that winning the RMAC will be rough, but I do believe that a playoff berth isn’t completely out of the question at some point.
I’ll even defend BH here. Since Breske came in, they’ve been getting far better as well. They finally have a staff that can point out to recruits that Spearfish is an objectively better place to be than Chadron, and this is showing in the results as Chadron has fallen off as a program.
Point being, in the end y’all got the worse end of the deal in old DAC teams. Y’all can take Jamestown when the North Star collapses. I’d say we’d take Dickinson, but my guess is that they hop over to the Frontier rather than go D2.
