Should Jamestown be accepted into the NSIC?

Yeah... the NCAA process starts with the host schools that made it and place them. Then they start building the bracket by placing the four number one seeds. From there, they try to take care of bracket integrity as close as they can, while trying to eliminate as many flights as possible and help attendance. #1 will not necessarily play #16, the will play someone from the 13-16 band. The year BSU went to the Frozen Four, they were the 15 seed, but had to play the #1 seed. The following year, they should have played Yale if the seeds held true, but ended up with Michigan.

Because of this, UND got Sioux Falls as the Denny was probably the largest seating regional and UND travels so well, they knew they would make money. BC/BU always seem to get Worcester, MA, when they are a site. Denver lucked out last year with hosting at Loveland, CO, otherwise, they always get shipped because, they will have to fly. The NCAA uses charters, so in their eyes a flight is a flight.

Augie is the host for the next round in SF I believe - that would be fun to see, especially if another big area team makes it.

They sent the Mavs to Loveland, Colorado. Meant I was stuck with UND fans all weekend at the Denny. Yuck.

No, they would not have been guaranteed Sioux Falls. Nebraska-Omaha was the host school for the 2026 Regional, they would have been the only ones guaranteed to play in Sioux Falls had they made it.

Yup! There are two blue lines on the ice on either side of the center line. It defines the neutral zone.

Speaking of - have you gone to see Augie's hockey team yet? They barely missed the cutoff for the NCAA tournament last year - I wanted them to get in since the regional was in Sioux Falls (though I don't recall if they would have played there or not). I like Midco Arena too.

Going to be an odd football season given I'm joining the MSU Blue Line Club this year - but the goal is to make it over to Winona this season if I'm able. Would love to see a Warriors game at home.
