Colorado Mesa upset No. 7 Colorado Mines by a final of 14-13 on Saturday afternoon. Mines led 13-0 at halftime but the Mavericks rallied for two touchdown passes in the fourth quarter. Trailing 13-6, Mesa went on a 98 yard drive capped by a 9 yard TD pass. A kicked PAT could have tied the game, but the Mavericks opted for a two-point attempt to take the lead. The conversion was sucessfull and the Mavericks would then stop the Orediggers twice in the final five minutes to secure the win. The result is the first RMAC loss for Mines since Oct. 23, 2021. That loss was also in Grand Junction to Colorado Mesa. Full story to come.
