Time certainly does fly by when you’re having fun and now that the Great American Conference 2025 season is in full swing, things are already starting to get interesting and it’s only mid-September. There were no major, earth-shattering upsets to report this week and on the surface, all favored teams seemed to come out victorious in the end.

The much-anticipated start of the Great American Conference season has finally arrived and this past Thursday’s games did not disappoint college football fans - unless of course your team lost. The good and bad news for all teams in the GAC is there’s little time to either revel in a big win or lick your wounds from a loss because a number of teams will face a Week Two challenge either this coming Thursday, September 11th or on Saturday, September 13th.

The 2024 season is in the books, culminating with the Harding Bisons falling at Ferris State on Saturday, 41-7. It was another exciting year of football across the GAC landscape, as the Bisons made at least the third round of the playoffs for the second year in a row and Ouachita Baptist put up a strong performance in their playoff matchup against Central Oklahoma.
