Luke McConnell serves as the play-by-play voice Southern Nazarene University football and men's and women's basketball. He's held this role since 2018. Previously, he spent three years covering sports for KWTV/News9.com in Oklahoma City. His primary focuses were the Oklahoma Sooners, Oklahoma City Thunder and high school football.
Luke lives in Oklahoma City with his wife and four boys. His day job is being on staff at Council Road Baptist Church as a part of the Outside the Walls ministry team.

It’s Championship Weekend and for the first time, a school from the Great American Conference is playing for the right to hoist a national championship trophy. Saturday, the Harding Bisons take on Colorado School of Mines at McKinney ISD Stadium in McKinney, Texas.

Another week down in the postseason and the GAC remains a player in the D2 playoffs. The Harding Bisons are the Super Region Three champions, courtesy of a 7-6 win over Grand Valley State last week in Searcy.

It was a happy Thanksgiving for the Great American Conference last week, as Harding knocked off Central Missouri for the league’s first postseason win in 2023. The Bisons will take on Grand Valley State in the Super Region Three Final on Saturday in Searcy, but they are just one of three teams in the conference playing this weekend.

The GAC announced its annual All-GAC Teams on Wednesday and we’re here to break it all down for you. Quarterback Gage Porter of Southern Nazarene repeated as the conference Offensive Player of the Year, becoming the third player in conference history with multiple recognitions in that category.
