Lot of good things happening for Ship tonight. Carlos Carter finally looks healthy again, he and Rashon Johnson have 22 points between them, and the Raiders are up 37-23 on West Chester, five minutes before halftime. They're still just seven-deep, but Carter playing well is just gigantic for this ballclub.
I gotta say, WCU looks like Tarzan and plays like Jane tonight.
EDIT: 49-34 Ship at the break. They're shooting 48 percent from the floor, 6-13 from downtown, and are beating one of the top rebounding teams in D-II on the boards, 22-19.Last edited by jrshooter; 02-09-2022, 07:46 PM.

Right after that last post, West Chester went almost 10 minutes without a field goal. Ship opens a 22-point lead before the Rams pull back within 76-67 at the end against Fite's bench.
Every Raider starter hits double figures. And Youssef Diabate, who started his Ship career as a team manager, pulls 10 rebounds in 17 minutes.

Lock Haven up 35-30 on Ship at the half. Raiders are shooting 1-for-13 from outside the arc, and Biss has played only six minutes after picking up his second foul. IIt looks like one of those games where they just aren't that into it -- except for Dom Sleva (12 points, 14 boards).

Lock Haven 79, Shippensburg 67. Let's see ... uh ... the Bald Eagles defended well 28 feet from the bucket?
The Raiders would have been even-up with an average high school team during that overtime. They did not do much of anything right, plain and simple.

Millersville survived in OT at Mansfield. Mansfield had the ball down by one and with 21 seconds left, couldn't get the ball to the rim. ESU has until Wednesday to figure out how to limit Justice Smith, because he couldn't miss today. Why he didn't take the last shot for the Mounties today is beyond me. Should be a fun two weeks! Take nothing for granted!!

I sure as hell wouldn't want to play that team right now.
