It probably comes down to what Bagent wants to do post-college. Will another year of crushing D2 do much for his draft stock? Hard to say. Not many D2 QBs get drafted. It's just the D2 sterotyoe. Big year at a Pitt (or similar) certainly gets him drafted.
Same feelings with IUP's Duane Brown. I'm curious to see if they both stay in the bus leagues or they give the big time a try.

No D2/PSAC player should think about grad transferring to a P5 at any position let alone QB. One year at a P5 you likely dont see the field without a series of injuries. Best case is the MAC and even there with one year as a QB that likely wont end well. But best case would be the MAC not P5.

Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. Could he play at a P5 school? Maybe. Maybe not. He's also benefitted from developing through his team and in a system that fits him. A lot of guys fall to D2 because of size, where they went to school, or their parents couldn't take them on a worldwide tour of QB camps.

D2 players who want to move up would probably be better staying away from the top P5 schools in most cases.

I think Bagent would have a better shot dominating another year at d2 than potentially not starting at a P5 or if so being average. I think being a wildcard with potential is a better shot than learning a new offense or only having one year to adapt to P5 defenses. Like when a NFL team takes a flyer on a bball player at TE.
Either way I think MAC is better step up to adapt faster than P5. Easily get drafter out of the MAC if things go well and it's better odds of adapting quickly. If he had more than a year to do it maybe. QB is a little more delicate of a situation with the jump and only having a year to do it IMO.
