Minnesota Duluth Tops NSIC Preseason Poll

BURNSVILLE, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Duluth was selected by the league coaches as the preseason favorite in the NSIC for 2024. The Bulldogs received eight first place votes (coaches cannot vote for their own team) and amassed 134 points, 10 points ahead of the defending champions of Augustana, which was second with 124 points and three first place votes. Minnesota State was third with 120 points, while Wayne State was fourth with 116 points and Bemidji State was fifth with 112 points; both MSU and BSU garnered a first place vote.
In 2024, NSIC football will consist of 13 teams with each team playing 10 conference games over a 12-week schedule. The NSIC will award an overall champion based on win percentage in the 10 NSIC contests. Ties will not be broken for the overall champions. The season kicks off on Thursday, August 29 with eight teams playing non-conference contests.
