Support for D2Football.com Founder Brandon Misener

June 10, 2024

To all the fans, friends and supporters of D2Football.com:

Earlier this spring, D2Football.com founder Brandon Misener suffered a hemorrhagic stroke. He has been hospitalized near his home in Kansas City since May 7. He has made enough progress recently to be transferred from intensive care to an acute rehab facility but a prognosis and timeline for recovery are not yet known.

Although there is little we can share publicly, we felt that the time was right to inform our audience. Early summer is typically the quietest time of the year for us but Brandon's absence is surely noticed. More importantly, Brandon is a dear friend to many of us and we wanted our community to know that he and his family will need our support as he begins a long recovery process.

As the founder and visionary of D2Football.com, Brandon is at the center of everything we do. His absence will be difficult but we want our loyal audience to know that D2Football.com will continue to operate just as it has for the past 25 years. Preseason content will soon be on the way including our conference previews, preseason Top 25 and Elite 100 watch list. We're also looking forward to the fourth season of Inside D2Football on Sunday nights, starting in September.  D2Football.com is a community that has become a huge part of our lives. We will work as hard as ever to uphold the standard Brandon has created and we are hopeful that he will rejoin us in the near future.

Until then, we ask that you please respect the privacy of Brandon, his family and closest friends. When there are relevant updates that Brandon's family wishes to share, we will communicate through the website and our social platforms. For anyone that may have had business conversations with Brandon that require attention, you may reach out to Matt Witwicki or Chuck Bitner.

To assist Brandon's family with the costs of his recovery, we have started a Go Fund Me campaign. All funds raised will go towards Brandon's medical expenses. If it is within your means to contribute, donations of any amount will be greatly appreciated.
