You'll play against MOSO's run defense in two weeks and will move up the rankings.

Neither, but you’re probably in the ballpark.

How you gonna keep em down on the farm after they’ve seen the ‘Burg?

Actually, look over on the UCO fans thread - the idea is for UCO to go D1, for AD to hire Rich as his DC and take Sturdy with him. Then NW rebuilds the coaching staff and the program :-).

Ok Lambo a couple things. Yea he's been poor without ZZ but he got ZZ there and put weapons around him. His stop at UNK was a learning experience and he learned what not to do as much as what to do. The other issue for Lsmbo going back to Maryville, other than his wife, is $. Don't forget UCM did something very smart and signed him to a big long term contract in the spring. That probably makes him untouchable for all D2 school not named Grand Valley.

His next step is probably a FCS head coach gig or analyst at a big power 5 school.

Lock Haven has a young hungry coach who would love to get out of SR1.

I'm sure somewhere out there is an OC at San Diego or Youngstown State who would like the HC opportunity at a proven winner but the rebuild opportunity to do it in his image.

Or Mike Norvell or Marcus Feeeman. 😁
Lambo got.ZZ there, but didn't have the foresight to make him a starter. Didn't he only start playing due to injury as he started as the back up???

I think they were down early and put him in. Not sure if it was either reason, though. It may have been politics that had the other guy starting since he was the incumbent.

I remember it as an injury. But it's hard to unseat an incumbent especially an upperclassman who i believe was a program guy. Hey we have a guy from SIU who is our backup....who knows?!

Coach Lambo's plan for the first game was to play Cedric Case (the returning starter) the first half and Zach Zebrowski the second half. Case got hurt in the first quarter and ZZ took over and the rest is history.

Cedric Case (QB) transferred from Texas State and played in 2 games in 2021 before becoming the starter for the 2022 season. Case and ZZ are both in the same class and Case could have been with the Mules this year. He's not on the roster and I don't know if he transferred or just went ahead and graduated and left college.

Can’t imagine it’s hard to unseat an incumbent that led a 4-7 team the year before. Lamberson got lucky, just admit it. Kid came in and threw 40 more TD’s more than the guy before, yet he didn’t see the difference enough to make him the starter in camp? Now, he’s still done a good job, but let’s not pretend he’s ready to jump to FCS, or that he’s a slam dunk in Maryville. Historically bad at UNK, bad at Abilene, and bad first year at UCM. Great with ZZ though.

If you want to look at it that way...Similar things can be said about AD. Great when gifted a NC roster and staff at a high spending school. Not great otherwise. At least not so far.

I see it more like coaches can grow, change, and improve just like the rest of us. If they do, they improve, if they don't, they're a liability.
