  • Penn state is top five in country…Pitt plays at an NFL stadium. Not even top 50. This is a joke.

I've seen this guys content on Instagram and Twitter before, and I'm convinced some of the stuff he puts out there is solely to generate clicks and engagement as opposed to being based in fact. There are D2 gameday atmospheres that could rival many FCS schools, and probably a couple G5 teams, but New Mexico Highlands, East Central, and Adams State are not teams I would put in that category

It 100% is done for clicks. I blocked that page along with several others so I don't see that nonsense on my feed.

This was clearly an attempt at engagement farming - which worked.

Like, I have no idea what would compel a person to watch Tommie football, but they can't hold a candle to the Gophers (and even the Johnnies). NDSU is the king in NoDak, as SDSU is the king in SoDak.

Clearly just set up to get people to comment on errors and omissions.

Plus the Badgers not being the No. 1 for Wisconsin. I have no love for the Badgers but can't deny Camp Randall gets rocking on game days.

Yup. UWW is a very, very distant second.

              • This will ruffle feathers but DSU has been showing off the progress at the new football stadium:

Looks good, always have preferred Dakota State over Jamestown!

I want to see them get to the later phases - that's where this thing will really shine. But I doubt it happens.

Yeah that is highly doubtful, unless someone very wealthy and childless dies

Seems to me that schools do these renovation projects in phases to pump out fancy renderings to drive interest and donations without much intention of actually hitting those goals.

DSU is an interesting case though, they seem to have a small core of really dedicated and wealthy alumni. Some of the donations that have come their way would be envious to some of the bigger schools in the region, so who knows. I still don't think they get there though.

That being said, what they built is a massive improvement over what they had:

Well I have learned that Minnesota schools seem to do it that way in order to get state funding for the first phase. The second phase maybe would come with a wealthy donation later.

The second part never seems to happen.

Depends on the school. Some places finish projects, others dream.

True. Remains to be seen with DSU, but like I said what they did build was a huge improvement. I'd like to see them keep going.
