There are D2 gameday atmospheres that could rival many FCS schools, and probably a couple G5 teams, but New Mexico Highlands, East Central, and Adams State are not teams I would put in that category

DSU is an interesting case though, they seem to have a small core of really dedicated and wealthy alumni. Some of the donations that have come their way would be envious to some of the bigger schools in the region, so who knows. I still don't think they get there though.
That being said, what they built is a massive improvement over what they had:
