Years back, I used to attend high school playoff games at the Hersheypark Arena and the Farm Show. Quite a different atmosphere from your average high school gym. My high school in Illinois actually built a domed gym in '62 that was ahead of its time. The BB court was actually on the second level above the locker rooms and indoor running track. They still use it.

I think they should do a noon tipoff on a weekday and arrange to have elementary schools or middle schools bring their kids. They all leave with a voucher for a free ticket. Let the kids go wild. Put on a good show.Originally posted by IUPbigINDIANS View PostGotta love the league playing games at 3pm on a Monday.
Great for business
If nobody's going to be there, might as well make it interesting.

The IUP women's team has done that once a year for the past decade or so. It's a huge success and the players love it. They call it Education Day.Originally posted by Fightingscot82 View Post

That IS a real great thing to do for the community. ESU used to host a holiday basketball tournament years ago. Shame they don't bring it back!!!Originally posted by IUPbigINDIANS View Post
