NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Bentley has been selected first in the 2025 Northeast 10 Conference Football Coaches' Poll, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Under the direction of first-year head coach CJ Scarpa, Bentley received 43 points and four first-place votes to lead all NE10 programs - as Saint Anselm finished second with 40 points and a pair of first-place votes. Assumption and Franklin Pierce tied for third with 38 points each.
Bentley is coming off an 8-2 season (6-2 NE10), which included a four-game winning streak to close out the year. The Falcons finished second in the conference standings behind only reigning champion New Haven. It was the fifth-straight winning season for Bentley's program and its most victories since 2021.
Saint Anselm, Assumption and Franklin Pierce all tied for third place in the 2024 season, finishing with 5-3 records in conference play. Franklin Pierce set a program record for wins in a season with five, its most since joining Division II in 2019.
Southern Connecticut placed fifth with 21 points, American International was sixth with 19 points, Pace was seventh with 15 points and Post rounded-out the poll with 10 points.
The 2025 NE10 season opens with a pair of games on Saturday, August 30th. Post hosts West Virginia Wesleyan at 1 p.m., while Saint Anselm visits Pace for a non-conference game at 5 p.m. The Saint Anselm-Pace game can be watched on NE10 NOW on FloSports.
