Central Missouri, CSU Pueblo Renew Series for 2027 & 2028

On Tuesday, Oct. 20, The University of Central Missouri and Colorado State University Pueblo announced an extension of their home-and-home football series for another two years. Under the new agreement, CSU Pueblo will travel to Warrensburg, Missouri to open the 2027 season on August 26. Central Missouri will make the return trip to Pueblo to kickoff the 2028 season on August 24. The Mules and Thunderwolves have met for the past two seasons, with CSU Pueblo winning both contests.

What they're saying

Central Missouri Head Coach Josh Lamberson: "We're excited to renew our non-conference series with Colorado State University Pueblo for the 2027 and 2028 seasons. These games provide a great opportunity against a quality program and continue building a schedule that challenges our team and prepares us for MIAA competition. We look forward to continuing this series and creating two great matchups for our players and fans."

CSU Pueblo Head Coach Phil Vigil: "I think it is a great opportunity for us to continue playing a quality opponent from a great league over the next two years and someone we've become familiar with over the last two seasons. They are one of the top teams in the MIAA and are a team that is going to have an opportunity to make the playoffs this year if they continue to win. It's a great environment on both sides, and I have a lot of respect for what they do. I'm excited to continue playing regional opponents in our preseason non-conference schedule."
