The Ferris State football program cemented its status as a Division II dynasty on Saturday, as the top-ranked Bulldogs used explosive plays to pull away from No. 2 Harding for a decisive 42-21 win in the 2025 Division II national championship game in McKinney, Texas.

Ferris State (16-0) secured its fourth national championship in five seasons under head coach Tony Annese, matching rival Grand Valley State, which won four titles in five seasons from 2002 to 2006. The victory also extended Ferris State’s school-record winning streak to 30 games.

The Bulldogs also set a new NCAA record for points scored in a single season with 844, breaking the previous mark of 837 set by Pittsburg State in 2004.
