D2Football.com is pleased to announce the players of the week for week two of the 2024 season. 

Offense

Jett Huff

Central Oklahoma

Jett Huff set multiple program records in Central Oklahoma's 57-40 victory over No. 2 Central Missouri. Huff completed 42 of 54 attempts, establishing a record for most pass completions in a single game. His 457 passing yards contributed to a team total of 731 yards, which also established a new single game record. Three of his completions resulted in touchdowns. The sophomore quarterback from College Station, Texas also contributed 35 rushing yards.

Jyrin Steward

Linebacker

Arkansas Tech

In Arkansas Tech's week two win over Southern Nazarene, Jyrin Steward spent much of the evening in the opponent's backfield. Steward registered nine total tackles. Eight were recorded as solo tackles with five resulting in loss of yardage. His five TFLs resulted in a loss of 19 yards. He also recorded a sack for a loss of eight yards and forced a fumble. Jyrin Steward is a junior from El Dorado, Arkansas. 

Special Teams

Kha'lil Eason

Return specialist

Kha'lil Eason set a New Haven single-game record with 231 return yards in the Chargers' week two win at Pace. Eason fielded four kickoffs and averaged 57.8 yards per return. Two of his returns resulted in touchdowns, from distances of 94 and 96 yards. The 96 yard run-back occurred in the first quarter and broke a 7-7 tie. Eason then opened the second half with the 94-yard return which gave the Chargers a two-score lead and began a run of 28 unanswered points to end the game. Kha'lil Eason is junior from Norwalk, Connecticut.
