D2Football.com is pleased to announce the players of the week for week four of the 2025 season. This week’s honorees are Jake Farrell from Missouri S&T, Ty’Metrius Patterson from Benedict and Central Washington’s Beau Phillips.
Offense
Jake Farrell, QB, Missouri S&T
Missouri S&T quarterback Jake Farrell had a career day in leading the Miners to a dramatic 42-40 win at Southwest Baptist. Farrell passed for 402 yards on the day, completing 33 of 47 pass attempts with three touchdowns and no turnovers. In the final moments, Farrell expertly led a 10-play, 69 yard drive that bled all the remaining time off the clock and culminated in a walk-off field goal from 23 yards out. Defense
Ty’Metrius Patterson, LB, Benedict
Benedict’s Ty’Metrius Patterson was the leader of a defense that produced four takeaways and three touchdowns in the Tigers’ 59-24 win at Clark Atlanta. Patterson led all defenders with eight tackles, seven of them solo, with four tackles for loss of 33 yards and three sacks for loss of 28 yards. He also broke up two passes and forced two fumbles. A fourth quarter strip-sack was returned 44 yards for a touchdown by a teammate. Ty’Metrius Patterson is a redshirt junior from Detroit, Michigan.
Special Teams
Beau Phillips, KR, Central Washington
Beau Phillips set two Lone Star Conference records and tied another in Central Washington’s win at Western New Mexico this past Saturday. He established a new record for total kickoff return yards in a single game (237) and became the first LSC player to return consecutive kicks for touchdowns. He returned just three kicks in the game, for distances of 94, 100 and 43 yards. The 100 yard return for touchdown tied the LSC record for longest return. Offensively, the sophomore from Snoqualmire, Washington also contributed 34 rushing yards with a touchdown and caught a 53 yard pass that resulted in a touchdown.
