D2Football.com is pleased to announce the players of the week for week seven of the 2025 season. This week’s honorees are Harding running back Andrew Miller, Missouri Southern defensive back RJ Hill and Saginaw Valley State kicker Teagen Landerink.
Offense
Andrew Miller, RB, Harding
Andrew Miller established a new single game rushing record for both the Harding program and the Great American Conference. Miller’s historic day occurred in a 35-10 Bisons victory at Henderson State. Miller totaled 298 rushing yards on just 21 carries, averaging 14.2 yards per touch. He also scored four touchdowns, highlighted by scoring bursts of 75 and 90 yards. Andrew Miller is a junior from Searcy, Arkansas.
Defense
RJ Hill, DB, Missouri Southern
Missouri Southern pulled off an upset of a Nebraska-Kearney team that entered week seven with a 5-2 overall record. Defensive Back RJ Hill played a starring role and helped provide the points that would make up the winning margin. Hill snagged two pass interceptions, the first of which was returned 70 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter. His second INT occurred late in the fourth quarter while the Lopers were in the red zone, ending a scoring threat that could have changed the course of the game. In addition to the turnovers, Hill contributed five tackles, three solo, and a pass breakup.
Special Teams
Teagen Landerink, K, Saginaw Valley State
Kicker Teagan Landerink helped boot Saginaw Valley State to their first win over Grand Valley State since 2012. Landerink opened the scoring with a career-best 53-yard field goal in the first quarter. He later brought the first half to a close with a 49-yarder on the final play of the half. The junior from Rockford, Michigan added a 25-yard field goal and a PAT to end the day with 10 points in the Cardinals 20-19 victory.
