Offense
Noah Dobert, RB, Northern Michigan
Northern Michigan’s Noah Dobert obliterated the school record for rushing yards in a single game with an epic performance in the Superior Dome last Saturday. Dobert carried 32 times for an incredible 406 rushing yards. The previous school record was 317 yards. He averaged 12.7 yards per carry and scored four touchdowns.. As of the conclusion of the regular season, he is third in the nation in total rushing yards (1,656) and rushing yards per game (150).. His performances have helped carry Northern Michigan to three wins in the last five games. Noah Dobert is redshirt freshman from Dearborn, Michigan majoring in mechanical engineering.
Defense
Brayden Pohlman, DL, Kutztown
Brayden Pohlman led a Kutztown defense that limited PSAC west champion IUP to negative rushing yardage and just 283 total yards. While some of his disruption isn’t captured in statistics, Pohlman registered an impressive four tackles for a loss of 23 yards and two of Kutztown’s six sacks for a loss of 13 yards. His day culminated in a critical stop on IUP’s final possession. Down 28-23, IUP had one final chance to move into scoring position and take the lead. On a 2nd short play, Polhman sacked quarterback Matthew Rueve for a loss of six yards. Two plays later, on 4th and 1, Pohlman tackled the ball carrier in the backfield for a three yard loss that turned the ball over on downs and secured the championship for Kutztown. For his performance, he was named MVP of the PSAC Championship game. Brandon Pohlman is a graduate student from Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.
Special Teams
Ar’Terrian Godfrey, DB, Concord
Concord’s Ar’Terrian Godfrey was an impact player on special teams and defense in the Mountain Lions’ season ending victory over Ferrum. In the second quarter he blocked a Ferrum field goal attempt, thwarting a scoring opportunity. In the third quarter, he blocked a punt that he then recovered in the endzone for a touchdown.
