With 10 ranked teams losing in week four, there was a lot of movement in the Top 25 poll. Augustana, Carson-Newman, Fort Hays State, Shepherd and Benedict all exited the poll this week and were replaced by Central Missouri, Mars Hill, Henderson State, Kentucky State and Northern State. Four of this week's additions are ranked for the first time in 2026. Northern State is re-entering the poll after previously be ranked on September 14.
