Findlay Tops G-MAC Poll

INDIANAPOLIS—With opening day kickoff less than a month away, the University of Findlay was voted to win the league following the release of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Football Preseason Coaches Poll.
Findlay grabbed four first place votes in the balloting for a total of 85 points. The Oilers won the program’s first G-MAC title back in 2021 and will look to reclaim the crown this season.
Head coach Kory Allen has led the Oilers to a 14-8 overall record since taking over the program in 2022.
Te’Jamere Nash is one of the top returners for the Oilers. Nash was a first team all-conference selection last season as an offensive lineman. Wide receiver Cam Childers is also a top returner for Findlay after leading the league in receptions last season at 43.
Coaches voted Ashland to finish the season second, earning five first place votes and totaling 79 points. The Eagles had the second best offense last season, averaging 30.3 points per game. Ashland ended the 2023 campaign capturing the league’s first ever Crossroads Bowl title.
Tiffin rounded out the top three, receiving one first-place vote and 69 points. The reigning champions will look to reclaim the crown under first year head coach Brett Ekkens.
The Dragons were followed by Hillsdale at the No. 4 slot and Ohio Dominican at No. 5.
