The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has published this fall's composite football schedule. The early weeks of the schedule will be headlined by a handful of high profile out of conference games. The season opens with a pair of week zero games beginning with Walsh hosting West Liberty from the MEC on Thursday night, Augst 28. The other week 0 contest for G-MAC schools will see Thomas More travel to FCS Southern Illinois on Saturday, August 30.
Kicking off the week one schedule, defending league champions Ashland will open the season at Indiana Univeristy of Pennsylvania on Thursday, Sept. 4. The meeting witll be the fourth in four years and third staight season-opener played between them. GSC heavy weight West Florida will travel to Kentucky Wesleyan for a week one meeting on Sept. 6. The pair last met in 2023 at West Florida. The Argos won that contest 35-3. Also on Sept. 6, defending GLVC Champions Indianapolis will travel to Findlay for a noon kickoff and defending national champion Ferris State will make the first of two appearances in G-MAC schedule with a trip to Lake Erie.
The following week, UIndy wil be a featured foe once again as Ashland travels to Indianapolis for a Sept. 13 date with the Greyhounds. Later that same day, Tiffin will take on Ferris State in Big Rapids, Michigan.
Conference play will be in full swing by Sept. 20 with Hillsdale traveling to Ashland. The Eagles will then hit the road on Sept. 27 to travel to Northwood. The Timberwolves made major strides in 2024, finishing with a 6-5 record.
The most anticipated conference games of the year will all appear late in the schedule. Ashland will be at Tiffin on Oct. 25, then face Findlay at home on November 8. Tiffin and Findlay will meet on the final day of the regular season in Findlay.
