Harding's Mote Era Begins with Signing Day

SEARCY, Ark. – Head Coach Roddy Mote officially closed the book on his first National Signing Day as the leader of Harding Football, announcing a 2026 class that balances elite local talent with a growing national recruiting footprint.

The class, which includes 30 signees from 10 different states, reflects the program's commitment to finding student-athletes who fit "The Brotherhood" culture while elevating the team's athletic ceiling.

"Today is about the future and the young men who have chosen to be a part of something bigger than themselves," said Coach Mote. "We wanted to find guys who were not only elite players but also elite people. This class represents the work our staff has put in to ensure that Harding Football continues to climb and reach even greater heights."

The class, with 10 athletes from the state of Arkansas, is headlined by a heavy emphasis on the trenches and the defensive backfield. The Bisons added significant size on the offensive and defensive lines, with signees arriving from as far as Arizona, Florida, and Nebraska. The skill positions also saw a boost, including a deep group of running backs and versatile athletes from across the Southeast.

"Our goal was to build on the foundation that has been laid here for decades," Mote added. "We aren't just looking for players to sustain what we've done; we are looking for players to push us forward."
