FAIRMONT, W.Va. — The 2026 Mountain East Conference football season continues with conference play as eight league teams face off on Saturday, kicking off at noon ET.
Wheeling is set to travel to Charleston, West Virginia to take on the Golden Eagles in the first contest of the day at noon. Concord hits the road to battle with West Virginia State with kickoff slated for 1 p.m.
Glenville State welcomes Frostburg State to Glenville, W. Va., for the Pioneers first home conference game of the season, kicking off at 1 p.m. West Virginia Wesleyan will host Fairmont State to Buckhannon, W. Va., for a 4 p.m. start time.

Notes: Wheeling picked up its second straight conference win of the season over West Virginia Wesleyan, 23-14 on Oct. 3. The Cardinals notched 425 yards of total offense, including 249 rushing yards. Redshirt senior quarterback Landon Lutz went 17-for-31 with 176 yards, with an interception and a touchdown. After a bye week last week, Charleston looks to pick up their third conference win of the season. In their last outing, the Golden Eagles defeated Glenville State at home, 27-7 on Sept. 26.

Notes: Concord earned its first conference win of the season, 41-31 over Frostburg State on Oct. 3. The Mountain Lions had 432 yards of total offense, including 310 passing yards. Graduate student quarterback Devin Kargman finished 21-for-30 with 310 yards, four passing touchdowns and an interception. Additionally, sophomore wide receiver Dom Collins tallied nine receptions, 152 yards and two touchdowns. Kargman leads the MEC with a 152.1 quarterback efficiency and 270.0 passing yards per game while Collins leads with 123.6 receiving yards per game. Additionally, Concord leads the conference with 37.6 points on offense per game as well as 439.4 yards on offense per game. West Virginia State welcomes the Mountain Lions to Institute, W. Va., in pursuit of the Yellowjackets first conference win. In their last outing, WVSU fell 41-38 to West Liberty on Oct. 3. The Yellowjackets finished with 470 yards of total offense, including 305 yards on the ground. Senior wide receiver Amare Ary had three receptions which tallied 103 yards and two touchdowns.

Notes: Frostburg State travels to Glenville, W. Va. after falling to Concord, 41-31 on Oct. 3. The Bobcats tallied 410 yards of total offense, with 298 passing yards. Redshirt junior Jordan Brooks went 22-for-34 with 298 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions. The Bobcats lead the MEC with 304.4 defensive yards and 169.0 defensive passing yards. Glenville State looks to secure their first conference win of the year, after falling 31-24 to Fairmont State on Oct. 3. The Pioneers had 335 yards of total offense, including 241 passing yards. Redshirt junior quarterback JD Sherrod went 17-for-30, with 241 passing yards as well as 87 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.

Notes: Fairmont State heads to Buckhannon, W. Va. after knocking off Glenville State, 31-24 during the Falcons homecoming game. The Falcons earned 375 yards of total offense, which included 277 passing yards. Junior quarterback Nino Marzullo earned MEC Offensive Player of the Week honors after completing 75% of his passes, going 21-for-28 with 277 yards and three passing touchdowns. On the ground, he tallied 36 yards and a touchdown. West Virginia Wesleyan fell 23-14 to Wheeling on Oct. 3. The Bobcats earned 299 yards of total offense, which included 226 passing yards. Redshirt freshman quarterback Liam McGuire went 14-for-24 with 226 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
