The teams that have been ranked first and second in every D2Football.com Top 25 poll since the preseason will meet for the national championship. No. 1 Ferris State defeated Newberry 49-17 while No. 2 Harding pulled away from Kutztown by a final of 49-27 in today's semifinals. The results set the stage for the national championship game to be played next Saturday.
The Bulldogs are the defending national champions and have been a unanimous No. 1 in every week of the D2Football.com Top 25 poll. The Bisons, the 2023 national champs, have been ranked second in every Top 25 poll published this year by D2Football.com.
The championship game will take place on Saturday, Dec. 20 at McKinney ISD Stadium in MicKinney, Texas. The game will air live on ESPN2 with kickoff scheduled for 4pm, eastern / 3pm, central.
