Northeastern State Game at West Florida Canceled

October 7th, 2026 2:00pm

Due to severe weather expected in the Florida panhandle region this weekend, Northeastern State's football game at the University of West Florida has been canceled. The game was scheduled to take place on Saturday. A tropical depression currently building over the gulf is expected to make landfall Friday night or Saturday morning. Experts project the storm will strengthen into hurricane status before making landfall.

No makeup date will be set for the canceled contest. Northeastern State will be idle until a home game next Saturday against William Jewell of the GLVC.
