INSIDE THE GAME
- Northwood set the tone for a dominant opening half right away, finding the end zone on their first possession of the game. Ethan Hamby found Lake Boos for a four-yard touchdown to make the score 7-0 3:16 into the game.
- The Timberwolves special teams made a play to extend the lead at the 8:52 mark of the opening quarter. Carter Minix returned a punt 65 yards for a touchdown to put NU on top 14-0.
- Just 2:48 later, Northwood made another big play for their third touchdown of the day. Hamby connected with Case Boos for a 61-yard TD.
- The Timberwolves made it 28-0 at the 5:42 mark of the second quarter, as Devin Brown found the endzone on a 19-yard rush to make it a four-score game.
- NU rounded out the scoring with 38 seconds remaining in the half on a trick play - a halfback pass from Devin Brown found Luke Woodke in the end zone to make the score 35-0 at halftime.
- Northwood got the ball to start the second half and went right down and scored. Hamby found Gerry Hanson from 27 yards out for Hanson's first career touchdown. That made the score 42-0 at the 11:35 mark of the third.
- Kentucky Wesleyan got on the board at the 4:56 mark of the third quarter with a touchdown that cut the NU lead to 42-7.
- Northwood's final touchdown of the day came at the 5:53 mark of the final quarter. AJ Bryan scored from one yard out to put the Timberwolves back up by 42.
- KWC scored the last TD of the day with 40 seconds remaining to make the final 49-14.
