Week Five is coming up and Divisional Games continue in the PSAC. There was definitely some excitement last week in Week Four. Last Saturday ‘s games included a PSAC East heavyweight clash between two undefeated D2 Football Top 25 Teams, and my PSAC Game of the Week, where Kutztown beat Shepherd 28-18. In the West, Slippery Rock and IUP were both winners in Week Four to move to 4-0 on the season. With that said, these three PSAC teams who won in Week Four remain ranked in the D2 Football Top 25 released on Monday. #4 Kutztown remains in the same spot that they have been in since the preseason. Moving up this week are #9 Slippery Rock, up two spots, and #13 IUP, up four spots. Shepherd, who came in at #23 last week, slipped out of the Top 25 this week with the loss to Kutztown. At the other end of the spectrum, Millersville and Gannon are both still looking for their first win of the season.

There was movement again in my PSAC Power Ranking (PPR) after the Week Four games. Reminder, the way my PPR works is that #1 would beat every other team in they played them in a game this week. #2 would beat #3 on down and so on. My PPR can change week to week and it usually does. Here is my PPR heading into Week Five action:

Here is the Week Five PSAC schedule and my prediction for each game. I was 8 out of 8 in my predictions for Week Four. Yes, I use my PPR detailed above to make my predictions. Currently, I am 34 out of 39 (87%) on my predictions for games that include a team from the PSAC so far in 2026.
Saturday 10/3/26 – PSAC East
Millersville (0-4, 0-1 PSAC East) at Shepherd (3-1, 0-1 PSAC East) – 12 Noon
Last week, Millersville lost to West Chester 17-16 and Shepherd lost to Kutztown 28-18.
My Prediction: Shepherd – The Rams get back in the win column at home.
#4 Kutztown (4-0, 1-0 PSAC East) at Shippensburg (1-3, 0-1 PSAC East) – 1 PM
Last Week, Kutztown beat Shepherd 28-18 and Shippensburg lost to Bloomsburg 33-31.
My Prediction: #4 Kutztown – The Golden Bears take another step towards the PSAC East crown in 2026.
Bloomsburg (3-1, 1-0 PSAC East) at Lackawanna (0-4, Future PSAC East Member) – 1 PM
Last week, Bloomsburg beat Shippensburg 33-31 and Lackawanna lost to East Stroudsburg 51-0.
My Prediction: Bloomsburg – The Huskies take care of business on the road.
*PSAC Game of the Week*
West Chester (3-1, 1-0 PSAC East) at East Stroudsburg (3-1, 0-0 PSAC East) – 1:05 PM
Last week, West Chester beat Millersville 17-16 and East Stroudsburg beat Lackawanna 51-0.
My Prediction: East Stroudsburg – The Warriors win this pivotal game between two 3-1 teams at home in Eiler-Martin Stadium.
Saturday 10/3/26 – PSAC West
Clarion (3-1, 1-0 PSAC West) at Lock Haven (2-2, 1-0 PSAC West) – 1 PM
Last week, Clarion beat Edinboro 30-19 and Lock Haven beat Gannon 24-14.
My Prediction: Clarion – The Golden Eagles get the win as they look to make noise in the PSAC West.
#13 IUP (4-0, 1-0 PSAC West) at Edinboro (2-2, 0-1 PSAC West) – 2 PM
Last week, IUP beat Seton Hill 35-7 and Edinboro lost to Clarion 30-19.
My Prediction: #13 IUP – The Crimson Hawks take care of business on the road.
California (PA) (2-2, 0-1 PSAC West) Seton Hill (1-3, 0-1 PSAC West) – 4 PM
Last week, California (PA) lost to Slippery Rock 41-26 and Seton Hill lost to IUP 35-7.
My Prediction: California (PA) – The Vulcans get back in the win column on the road.
Gannon (0-4, 0- PSAC West) at #9 Slippery Rock (4-0, 1-0 PSAC West) – 6 PM
Last week, Gannon lost to Lock Haven 24-14 and Slippery Rock beat California (PA) 41-26.
My Prediction: #9 Slippery Rock – The Rock will be rocking when the sun goes down and the lights come on at Milhalik-Thompson Stadium.
