Week Two of the 2025 PSAC Football Season is coming up as the 75th Anniversary for the PSAC continues. We have seven Crossover Week, East at West, games and one non-league contest on tap. Seven of the 15 teams in the PSAC are still undefeated after Week Zero and Week One action. Three of those teams are members of D2Football’s most recent Top 25 Poll which was released on Monday. #4 Kutztown (1-0, 0-0 PSAC East) and #9 Slippery Rock (1-0, 0-0 PSAC West) remained in the same spots as last week. #14 California (PA) (1-0,0-0 PSAC West) moved up four spots after beating another Top 25 team, Charleston (MEC) last week.
#4 Kutztown (1-0, 0-0 PSAC East) at Edinboro (1-0, 0-0 PSAC West) is my PSAC Game of the Week for Week Two. Keep reading for a preview, and my prediction of this Game of the Week and every PSAC game, coming up in Week Two. Also, yes, it’s only Week Two, I am breaking out My PSAC Power Ranking early again this season. Here is how it works, heading into Week Two, I would predict number one to beat everyone below them, number two to beat numbers three on down, etc., that’s the method behind it.
PSAC Power Ranking heading into Week Two:
PSAC Week Two - Saturday, September 13, 2025 – East at West Crossover Week
West Chester (1-0, 0-0 PSAC East) at #14 California (PA) (1-0, 0-0 PSAC West) – 12 Noon
West Chester won last week beating Bentley (NE10) 30-13. Quarterback Cooper Jordan went over 2,000 career rushing yards in the win after rushing for 136 yards in the game. Jordan had two rushing touchdowns two and also passed for 134 yards with a touchdown. Kicker Rylan Zuk kicked three field goals and made all three of his extra point attempts in the Golden Rams victory and earned PSAC East Special Teams Athlete of the Week for his performance.
#14 California (PA) won last week in my PSAC Week One Game of the Week beating then ranked #21 University of Charleston (MEC) 23-19. Running back Bobbie Boyd, Jr. rushed for 104 yards in the win. On defense Alexie Sangster, Jr. and Grant Hopple each had nine tackles. Sangster also had an interception late in the game to seal the win and was named the PSAC West Co-Defensive Athlete of the Week for his performance. Kicker Harry Radcliffe nailed three field goals, including two over 40 yards, and earned PSAC West Special Teams Athlete of the Week for his contributions in the Vulcans victory.
My Prediction: #14 California (PA) – The Vulcans keep rolling after taking down a fellow D2 Top 25 opponent in Week One.
NON-LEAGUE GAME
Glenville State (0-2, 0-0 MEC) at Millersville (0-1, 0-0 PSAC East) – 12 Noon
Glenville State (MEC) lost 16-13 last week to Lock Haven (PSAC East) after losing in Week Zero, 46-17, to Emery & Henry University. They were picked to finish third in the MEC’s preseason poll.
Millersville lost 42-34 last week to Frostburg State. Quarterback Ryan Zeltt threw for 261 yards and two touchdowns. On defense, Bryce Beutler led the team with 12 tackles.
My Prediction: Millersville – The Marauders get in the win column as the lone team from the PSAC East with a home game in Week Two.
Bloomsburg (0-1, 0-0 PSAC East) at Seton Hill (1-1, 0-0 PSAC West) – 12 Noon
Bloomsburg lost a heartbreaker in Overtime last week 41-40 to Fairmont State (MEC). Quarterback KJ Riley threw for 264 yards and two touchdowns while Jerry Griffen-Batchler racked up 103 yards receiving on five catches. On defense, Brady Thompson had 14 tackles and Garrett Garcia had 12 for the Huskies.
Seton Hill won last week beating West Liberty University (MEC) 42-21, The Griffins lost to Fairmont State (MEC) 24-21 in Week Zero. The Week One victory was Kevin May’s first win as head coach for the Griffins. Quarterback Boden St Marie threw for 183 with three touchdowns while Clint Washington led the team with 76 yards receiving with one touchdown.
Defensive back Darius Patterson was named C0-Defensive Athlete of the Week for his performance in the win. Patterson had two interceptions in the game including sealing the victory with a 74-yard pick six.
My Prediction: Bloomsburg – The Huskies win on the road in a close one.
Shippensburg (0-1, 0-0 PSAC East) at Clarion (2-0, 0-0 PSAC West) – 1 PM
Shippensburg lost 23-7 last week to Bowie State (CIAA). Quarterback Riley Gunnels threw for 272 yards with a touchdown pass to Jaevon Parker who led the team in receiving with 74 yards. Nate Myers led the defense with 13 tackles including two tackles for a loss and one sack.
Clarion won last week beating West Virginia Wesleyan (MEC) 48-20. Quarterback Anthony Guercio threw for 125 yards with three touchdowns and led the Golden Eagles with 104 yards rushing along with two touchdowns on the ground. This performance earned him PSAC West Athlete of the Week honors. Griffin Buzzell led the way on defense with 6 tackles.
My Prediction: Clarion – The Golden Eagles have outscored their opponents 82-20 in their first two games and get the win at home in this one.
PSAC GAME OF THE WEEK
#4 Kutztown (1-0, 0-0 PSAC East) at Edinboro (1-0, 0-0 PSAC West) – 1 PM
#4 Kutztown won last week beating Assumption (NE10) 51-14. The Golden Bears were impressive, start to finish, in this game which took five and a half hours to complete due to two Inclement Weather Delays. Running back Jaedyn Stewart ran for a career high 150 yards with two touchdowns along with 47 receiving yards. His performance earned him PSAC East Athlete of the Week honors. Luke Maxwell also had two rushing touchdowns for the Golden Bears. Quarterback Judd Novak threw for 233 yards with two touch downs. On defense, Austin Leyman led the team with 6 tackles.
Edinboro was idle last week after opening their season in Week Zero with an impressive win on the road taking down a top contender in the PSAC East, East Stroudsburg, 29-14. Wide receiver Jaret Frantz was named the PSAC offensive athlete of the week for his stellar play in that Week Zero game. He had six catches for 78 yards and three touchdowns. On special teams, punter Ricco Sastoque was also named PSAC Athlete of the Week for Week Zero averaging 52 yards per punt, with a long of 62 yards, and pinning East Stroudsburg inside their own 20-yard line twice. He also excelled on his five kickoffs with one touchback.
My Prediction: #4 Kutztown – The Golden Bears are the team to beat in the PSAC. Regardless, this one should be a great game.
East Stroudsburg (1-1, 0-0 PSAC East) at Gannon (0-1, 0-0 PSAC West) – 1 pm
East Stroudsburg won last week beating PACE (NE10) 31-12. Quarterback Sean McTaggart only threw for 74 yards but he led the team in rushing with 104 yards and a touchdown. On defense Mason Smith and Ashton Blose had nine tackles a piece. Blose, a defensive lineman, also had 2.5 sacks in the Warriors victory and earned PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week honors for his performance.
Gannon lost 49-28 last week to Saginaw Valley State (GLIAC). Quarterback Ty Hurst threw for 324 yards and two touchdowns for the Golden Knights and Damario Moore had 113 yards receiving with a touchdown. Tyshawn Stewart led the defense with eight tackles.
My Prediction: East Stroudsburg - The Warriors keep moving forward in the win column after a season opening loss in Week Zero at home to Edinboro.
Lock Haven (0-1, 0-0 PSAC West) at IUP (0-1, 0-0 PSAC West) – 4 PM
Lock Haven won last week beating Glenville State (MEC) 16-13. It was Joe Battaglia’s first win as head coach of the Bald Eagles. Quarterback Jackson Ostrowsky threw for 190 yards Damir Green had two rushing touchdowns in the win. Rasu Wearing-Poindexter led the defense with seven tackles.
IUP lost last week to then #25 Ashland (GMAC) 13-9. Quarterback Matthew Rueve threw for 221 yards and a touchdown and wide receiver Maurice Massey had 110 yards receiving. On defense, three Crimson Hawks were double digits in tackles. Noah Johnston had 13, Nathan Rosario-Santos 10, and Tai’Don Strickland 10.
My Prediction: IUP – The Crimson Hawks win this one at home after a close loss to a Top 25 team in their opener.
Shepherd (0-1, 0-0 PSAC East) at #9 Slippery Rock (1-0, 0-0 PSAC West) – 6 PM
Shepherd was idle last week. In Week Zero the Rams lost to Frostburg State 41-27 on the road. In that Week Zero game, running back Grant Swinehart rushed for 135 yards on nine carries with a touchdown. On defense, Devin Harper and Nathan Muhle both had eight tackles a piece and Muhle also had a sack.
#9 Slippery Rock won on the road last week in Week One beating Franklin Pierce (NE10) 24-13. Running back JayJay Jordan ran the ball 17 times for 154 yards and a touchdown while running back TD Quentin Harrison also ran the ball 17 times picking up 91 yards rushing. Quarterback Anthony Vespo was 13 of 25 for 160 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Defensive lineman Trever Valenti and defensive back Michael Henwood had eight tackles each. Valenti also had a tackle for loss and a sack for the Rock. Former Shepherd Ram defensive lineman, Brett Kwoka, had two fumble recoveries to go along with his three tackles in his debut for Slippery Rock.
My Prediction: #9 Slippery Rock – The Rock keeps rolling at home after winning their season opener on the road last week.

Lackawanna College won this past weekend beating Sussex County Community College 45-21 to go to 1-0 on the season. Next up, an away game at Detroit Community Christian College.
