Week Two is here and we have one non-league match up on Thursday night and seven PSAC Crossover Games coming up on Saturday. Three PSAC teams are currently ranked in the D2 Football Top 25, which was released on Monday, heading into this week’s action. They include #4 Kutztown, #14 Slippery Rock, and #19 IUP. Kutztown has been in that spot since the preseason Top 25 came out. Slippery Rock has been in the Top 25 since the preseason poll but has kept moving up. IUP entered the Top 25 for the first time this season this week.

The show originally aired on Monday at 12 noon, a Labor Day holiday special for PSAC fans. If you missed the show, you can watch the replay anytime to get caught up on the big games played so far and to find out which players have stood out here in the early part of this 2026 season.
Yes, it is very early in this 2026 season but I am bringing out my weekly PSAC Power Ranking (PPR) heading into Week Two. For those new to following along, this is how it works: I predict that #1 would beat any other team in the week coming up, # 2 would #3 on down, etc., and it can, and usually does, change week to week based upon who is taking care of business, who is trending upwards, and who is headed in the wrong direction. That said, here is my PPR heading into Week Two:
PSAC Power Ranking (PPR)
NR Lackawanna (0-1, Future PSAC East Member)
Here is the Week Two schedule for the PSAC and my prediction for each game. Side note, I am currently 14 out of 16 (87.5%) on my predictions so far in 2026 for games with a PSAC team playing in the contest.
Thursday 9/10/26
Shippensburg (0-1, 0-0 PSAC East) at West Virginia Wesleyan (1-1, 0-0 MEC) – 7 PM
My Prediction: West Virginia Wesleyan – In what should be a close game, the Bobcats get the edge in this one playing at home.
Saturday 9/12/26
Clarion (1-0, 0-0 PSAC West) at #4 Kutztown (1-0, 0-0 PSAC East) – 12 Noon
Clarion had a nice win in Week One beating West Virginia Wesleyan 52-14 in their season opener. #4 Kutztown beat Assumption 56-35 on the road in Week One.
My Prediction: #4 Kutztown – The Golden Bears continue to be the team to beat in the PSAC.
California (PA) (1-0, 0-0 PSAC West) at Millersville (0-1, 0-0 PSAC East) – 12 Noon
Millersville dropped their opener to Glenville State 24-21 while California (PA) won big beating Charleston 49-24.
My Prediction: California (PA) – The Vulcans continue their quest to be in the mix in the PSAC West at the end of the regular season.
Gannon (0-1, 0-0 PSAC West) at Shepherd (1-0, 0-0 PSAC East) – 12 Noon
Gannon lost to Davenport, 32-20, in their opener. Shepherd took down a Top 25 team, Frostburg State, 34-26 in Week One to start their season.
My Prediction: Shepherd – The Rams keep the momentum going in Crossover Week action.
Seton Hill (0-2, 0-0 PSAC West) at Lackawanna (0-1, N/A PSAC East) – 1 PM
Seton Hill has dropped two, to East Stroudsburg 27-20 and West Liberty 28-24. Lackawanna lost to Monroe 20-12, who is also making the transition to D2, in Week One.
My Prediction: Seton Hill – The Griffins get into the win column for the first time in 2026.
Edinboro (1-0, 0-0 PSAC West) at Bloomsburg (1-0, 0-0 PSAC East) – 2 PM
Edinboro beat Ohio Dominican 38-36 last week in Triple after ODU beat an FCS team in Week Zero. Bloomsburg was a 35-13 winner over Fairmont State.
My Prediction: Bloomsburg –The Huskies win in a competitive game at home.
#19 IUP (1-0, 0-0 PSAC West) at West Chester (1-0, 0-0 PSAC East) – 6 PM
Heading into last week’s game unranked, now ranked #19 IUP took down an at the time ranked #12 Ashland 34-24 on the road. WCU was also a winner in Week One beating Lincoln 21-13.
My Prediction: #19 IUP – The Crimson Hawks notch a decisive win in this Crossover Game.
*PSAC Game of the Week*
#14 Slippery Rock (1-0, 0-0 PSAC West) at East Stroudsburg (2-0, 0-0 PSAC East) – 6 PM
The Rock was idle last week after taking down a higher ranked Top 25 team, Minnesota Duluth, 45-43 in the second overtime in Week Zero. East Stroudsburg has notched wins against Seton Hill, 27-20, and Pace, 37-26. This is certainly a game of high importance for both of these teams. They both have aspirations to make a run for the PSAC Championship and earn a spot on the Super Region One Playoff bracket.
My Prediction: #14 Slippery Rock – The Rock comes out on top of what should be a great Week Two Crossover Game.
Lock Haven (1-1, 0-0 PSAC West) – Idle in Week Two
The Bald Eagles beat Shippensburg 24-16 in their Week Zero opener and lost last week 21-14 to American International.
