
Craig Fenn is a biology professor who holds degrees from the University of New Haven and Penn State University. He began following Division 2 football while a student at New Haven in the mid-to-late-1990’s, which included the 1997 run to the National Championship game when the Chargers were an Independent program.
A native of the Waterbury, CT area, he now lives near Lancaster, PA with his wife, children, and cats.

Week 9 RecapCentral Washington got out to a big early lead, nearly lost it, and then took over late to outlast Angelo State in a battle of top 25 teams. Western Oregon missed out on a bunch of chances in the first half but righted the ship in the second half to set up two of the most important weeks in recent program history.

Week 8 Recap Central Washington and Angelo State took care of business and set things up for their huge matchup in Ellensburg next week. Eastern New Mexico won the Chile Bowl for the second straight year with an all-time dominant rushing performance.

Week 6 Recap For once, we didn’t have a week with all blowouts. The LSC had three of the last four games go to just about the very end.

Week 5 Recap In the top-10 showdown between UTPB and Angelo State, it was the Falcons using their defense and dominating the time of possession in the fourth quarter to keep ASU from rallying from a two-touchdown deficit in Braeden Fuller’s return. We also had two games where the losing team outgained the winning team by a significant margin, but in those games, having too many mistakes doomed both WNMU and TAMUK.

While three of the games you could probably expect the result with the favored team winning comfortably, West Texas A&M’s overall effort in dominating Western Oregon has to be considered at least somewhat surprising, especially in terms of the Buffaloes’

2025 Lone Star Conference Season PreviewLast we saw the LSC on the football field, Angelo State and Central Washington were on the losing end in first-round playoff games and Texas-Permian Basin fell in overtime to Zach Zebrowski’s last great moment with Central Missouri. But optimism can be endless when coaches and players take to the field for Spring and Summer practices and scrimmages, whether that optimism is justified or not.

LSC 2024 End of Season Recap The 2024 LSC season ended with a thud as both the conference’s playoff teams lost in the first round of the Super Region 1 playoffs, ending the LSC’s multiple-year run of placing a team in the Super Region 4 Final. And while Texas-Permian Basin held down the now two-time Harlon Hill Trophy winner Zach Zebrowski of Central Missouri for three quarters, they ran out of gas in the in the fourth and lost the Heritage Bowl in two overtimes.
