Wayne State (GLIAC)
Outgoing coach: Tyrone Wheatley - Wayne State announced Tyrone Wheatley's resignation on Feb. 10
Incoming coach: Terrence Isaac, Sr. - On the same day as Wheatley's resignation, Wayne State announced the hiring of Terrence Isaac. Isaac had recently joined the staff as an assistant.
Delta State (GSC)
Outgoing coach: Todd Cooley - After 13 years as head coach, Todd Cooley has resigned his position to join Pete Golding's statt at Ole Miss
Incoming coach: David Dean - Delta State wasted little time in landing their new head coach. David Dean makes his third GSC stop as now takes leadership of the Delta State program.
Harding (GAC)
Outgoing coach: Paul Simmons - Harding announced on Jan. 6 that national champion head coach Paul Simmons will transition to the role of General Manager of Harding Football.
Incoming coach: Roddy Mote - As part of Paul Simmons' transition to the role of GM, defensive coordinator Roddy Mote has been promoted to head coach
Carson-Newman (SAC)
Outgoing coach: Ashley Ingram - Virginia Military Institute announced the hiring of Ashley Ingram as their new head coach on Dec. 30
Incoming coach: Tyler Almond - Just two days after Ashley Ingram departed for VMI, Carson-Newman announced the promotion of Tyler Almond to head coach. Almond has been the Eagles' defensive coordinator for the past two seasons.
Edinboro (PSAC)
Outgoing coach: Matt Scott - After leading Edinboro to its first winning season since 2018, Matt Scott announced his resignation on Dec. 29. He was with Edinboro for only one season. He has been confirmed as the defensive coordinator at FCS University of Albany.
Incoming coach:
UT Permian Basin (LSC)
Outgoing coach: Kris McCullough - After three years leading UTPB, Kris McCullugh has accepted the head coaching position at FCS Gardner-Webb.
Incoming coach: Chris Softley - UTPB announced the hiring of Chris Softley on Dec. 31. Softey has been head coach at Lubbock Christian School for the past nine years, with a record of 101-22 and two state championships.
Clark Atlanta (SIAC)
Outgoing coach: Teddy Keaton - Clark Atlanta issued a statement on Dec. 16 announcing Teddy Keaton was no longer the University's head coach. Reasons for the departure were not specified.
Incoming coach: Terry Sims - Clark Atlanta announced Terry Sims as their new head coach on Jan. 16.
Albany State (SIAC)
Outgoing coach: Quinn Gray, Sr. - Coach Gray announced his departure on Dec. 15. He was later confirmed as new head coach at FCS Florida A&M.
Incoming coach: David Bowser - ASU hired David Bowser as head coach on Dec. 24
Findlay (G-MAC)
Outgoing coach: Kory Allen - Findlay confirmed Allen's resignation on Dec. 14. He leaves Findlay after 20 years on staff and four years as head coach. He has since been confirmed as a position coach at Toledo.
Incoming coach: Tyler Johns - Findlay announced the hiring of alumnus Tyler Johns on Dec. 19.
Central Washington (LSC)
Outgoing coach: Chris Fisk - On Dec. 12 Chris Fisk accepted the head coach position at D1 Portland State
Incoming coach: Scott Power - Hired on Dec. 30, CWU welcomes back former defensive coordinator Scott Power
Saginaw Valley State (GLIAC)
Outgoing coach: Ryan Brady - Two full weeks after the conclusion of the regular season, SVSU terminated Ryan Brady. He led the program for six years and recently completed a fifth straight winning season.
Incoming coach: Michael Engle - SVSU announced the hiring of UIndy offensive coordinator Michael Engle as the program's new head coach on Jan. 5.
Northwestern Oklahoma State (GAC)
Outgoing coach: Ronnie Jones
Incoming coach: Jerry Partridge - former head coach at Missouri Western, is taking over at NWOSU
Bowie State (CIAA)
Outgoing coach: Kyle Jackson - Bowie State announced on Nov. 21 that Kyle Jackson's contract would not be renewed. The Bulldogs were 19-21 under Jackson and had losing seasons in 2024 and 2025.
Incoming coach: Afer weeks of speculation, Bowie State confirmed the hiring Dawson Odums on Feb. 9
West Virginia Wesleyan (MEC)
Outgoing coach: Dwayne Martin - On Nov. 20, WVW announced that after three consecutive winless seasons, Dwayne Martin will not be retained
Incoming coach: Mike Kellar - just days after being dismissed at Glenville State, Mike Kellar lands at conference rival West Virginia Wesleyan
Glenville State (MEC)
Outgoing coach: Mike Kellar
Incoming coach: Jake Casteel
Eastern New Mexico (LSC)
Outgoing coach: Kelly Lee - ENMU announced a leadership change on Nov. 18. Kelly Lee was in his second stint as head coach of the Greyhounds.
Incoming coach: Art Briles - ENMU announced the hiring of former Baylor and Houston head coach Art Briles on Nov. 24
Concordia-St. Paul (NSIC)
Outgoing coach: Shannon Currier - CSP announced on No. 17 that Shannon Currier will not be retained.
Incoming coach: Joshua Schumacher - CSP hired Joshua Schumacher on Jan 5. He led Concordia-Ann Arbor (NAIA) for eight years prior to the program shutting down.
Savannah State (SIAC)
Outgoing coach: Aaron Kelton - Resigned on Nov. 14 at the conclusion of his fourth season. He completed his tenure with a record of 16-24.
Incoming coach: Thomas Howard - Savannah State has announced Thomas Howard as new head coach
West Libery (MEC)
Outgoing coach: Roger Waialae - long time head coach Roger Waialae is retiring at the conclusion of his 21st season leading the Hilltoppers.
Incoming coach: Chad Salisbury - West Libery announced the hiring of Chad Salisbury on Dec. 16. Salisbury spent the past nine years as offensive coordinator at California (Pa.)
Shippensburg (PSAC)
Outgoing coach: Mark Maciejewski - "Coach Mac" announced his intention to retire at the end of the 2025 season. At the time of his retirement, he was the longest tenured head coach in the PSAC.
Incoming coach: Drew Gallardy - Shippensburg has elevated OC Dew Gallardy to head coach. Gallardy is also a Shippensburg alumnus.
Arkansas-Monticello (GAC)
Outgoing coach: Hud Jackson - Jackson stepped down from his position as head coach to focus on his role as Director of Athletics at UAM.
Incoming coach: Gary Goff - UAM announced the hiring of Gary Goff on Dec. 11. Goff has prior head coaching experience at Tiffin, Valdosta State and McNeese State.
Winston-Salem State (CIAA)
Outgoing coach: Robert Massey - Massey announced his resignation on Nov. 9
Incoming coach: Tory Woodbury - WSSU confirmed the hiring of alumnus Tory Woodbury on Dec. 5. Woodbury is a WSSU and CIAA hall of fame player and an NFL veteran.
Northern Michigan (GLIAC)
Outgoing coach: Shane Richardson - After being placed on administrative leave on Nov. 3 for undisclosed reasons, Richardson resigned his position on Nov. 7. He was nearing the conclusion of his third season.
Incoming coach: Matt Janus - Northern Michigan hired Matt Janus on Jan. 5. Janus comes from D3 UW-Lacrosse where he led the program to five straight playoff appearances.
Millersville (PSAC)
Outgoing coach: JC Morgan - Morgan was relieved halfway through his seventh season with the Marauders. A national search is in progress.
Incoming coach: Drew Folmar - After a three-month search, Millersville finaly announced the hiring of their new coach on Jan. 14. The Marauders will turn to alumnus Drew Folmar, who is one of the most decorated players in Millersville history. The four-year starter still holds many of the passing records in the MU record book.
