Fall of 2025 will be Ferrum's first season as a member of NCAA Division II. Ferrum was previously a member of NCAA Division III from 1985 through the 2024-2025 academic year. The Panthers will reclassify as a full member of Conference Carolinas.

Ferrum College has announced the schedule for the program's first season of NCAA Division II football. The private liberal arts college based in Ferrum, Virginia is reclassifying from Division III and will be a full member of Conference Carolinas beginning this fall.
