Pitt State Announces Facility Enhancement Plans

Plans for a new facility designed to enhance student-athlete experience, engage the community and alumni, and strengthen recruiting and retention efforts at Pittsburg State University are underway. A new end zone facility at Carnie Smith Stadium will include a game day locker room for Gorilla football, private suites for fans and corporate partners, coaches' offices and a centralized recruiting area, team meeting rooms, student-athlete study and collaboration space, and event space capable of serving both university and community needs year-round.

Gorillas and Bearcats to meet in Kansas City in 2025 and 2026

June 9, 2025By D2Football.com staffMIAA rivals Pittsburg State and Northwest Missouri State have announced plans to move their annual meeting to Kansas City in 2025 and 2026. To accommodate the move, Pitts State will give up a home game date in 2025 with the Bearcats losing a home game in 2026.  The series is no stranger in Kansas City, with the teams meeting on 13 previous occassions at  Arrowhead Stadium, home to the Kansas City Chiefs.
